Datacenter MPU Product Manager (AI)

Location: Austin, United States — office-based. The role requires domestic and international travel to engage customers, partners, and internal teams.

What you will do

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI-enabled edge MPUs.
• Translate market and customer needs into product requirements documents, feature specifications, and phased roadmaps.
• Make data-driven trade-offs across silicon area, power, performance, and bill of materials.
• Collaborate with engineering on heterogeneous compute, AI acceleration, real-time processing, security, connectivity, memory systems, and interconnects.
• Lead engineering, go-to-market, sales, applications, operations, customers, and partners through the product lifecycle.
• Develop competitive positioning, business cases, pricing strategies, technical content, and go-to-market plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, customer management, or systems engineering for MPUs, SoCs, or embedded systems.
• Experience translating customer requirements into actionable specifications for hardware, software, and systems teams.
• Strong understanding of CPU, GPU, NPU, and DSP architectures, memory systems, interconnects, AI and machine learning concepts, and embedded AI applications.
• Working knowledge of Arm cores, PCIe, and Ethernet, plus market analysis, competitive analysis, and business case development.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts, and influence executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with datacenter architectures and use cases.
• Familiarity with NXP processors, especially Layerscape and S32N devices.
• Knowledge of security topics, including post-quantum cryptography.
• Experience with embedded software development, Linux, RTOS, and developer toolchains.
• MS or MBA and strong presentation and people skills.
