TL;DR
Mgr Procurement, Global Release Liners (Manufacturing): Leading global procurement strategies for release liners across 3M businesses with an accent on supplier relationships, negotiations, cost reduction, and supply resilience. Focus on analyzing market and supplier performance data, solving complex supply chain challenges, and advancing procurement digitalization through SAP, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.

Location: On-site at the hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 25% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Salary: $164,612–$201,193 annual compensation range, including base pay and potential variable incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Own the global Release Liners procurement category across hirify.global businesses and divisions.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies supporting business continuity, resilience, value creation, cost reduction, and working-capital improvement.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage supplier performance, quality, pricing, and service.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze procurement data, market dynamics, supplier performance, and cost drivers to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Advance procurement digitalization and process optimization using automation, data analytics, pricing tools, SAP, and AI-enabled tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or engineering.
  • At least 7 years of experience supporting or leading supplier and contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation, contracting, supplier management, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, collaborate across functions and geographies, and work independently in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with paper or other raw-material roll goods, including films and nonwovens.
  • Experience managing complex supplier relationships with a long-term strategic perspective.
  • Financial acumen and experience with cost models, pricing tools, contract management systems, SAP, automation, analytics, AI, ERP, Excel, or Power BI.
