Fixed Assets Assistant

Location: Alajuela, Costa Rica

hirify.global develops and manufactures medical device components and systems, including Nitinol components, stents, catheters, biomedical textiles, and polymer tubing.

What you will do

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register and record acquisitions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and adjustments in the ERP or accounting system.
• Calculate and monitor monthly depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Reconcile the fixed asset subledger with the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, CapEx classification, and capitalization of construction-in-progress projects.
• Coordinate physical fixed asset counts and prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and other departments to verify asset purchases and movements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of accounting experience; fixed assets accounting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles, tax-free zone regulations, compliance requirements, US GAAP, and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Intermediate English, approximately B1/B2, with clear written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, organization, time management, and confidentiality with financial information.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or NetSuite.
• Experience in manufacturing or medical device environments.
