Associate Accountant, Global Accounting - Inventory (Pharmaceutical)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate financial and accounting analyses, reports, journal entries, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Maintain domestic and international general ledger elements and support month-end close activities.
• Identify accounting issues, communicate potential solutions, and work directly with business partners.
• Maintain current work instructions, job aids, desktop procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing complete and timely documentation.
• Lead selected continuous improvement projects and prepare Sarbanes-Oxley internal control documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 0+ years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in finance or accounting with strong numerical accuracy.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, as well as SAP and Hyperion Financial Management skills.
• Problem-solving, analytical, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, including responsible AI practices.
