Lead Test Technician (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Lead technicians supporting functional testing for aerospace and defense programs.
• Provide technical direction for test setup, execution, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Coordinate engineering priorities, schedules, and deliverables with the Test Lab Manager.
• Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management on product validation and qualification.
• Develop laboratory procedures, test methods, and engineering documentation.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, equipment planning, and laboratory capability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, testing, or related technical environments.
• Experience leading and developing technical teams through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and employee development.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment with strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience with regulated industries and quality systems is preferred; familiarity with aerospace and defense standards is highly desirable.
