TL;DR

Associate Analytical Chemist (Special Analysis) (Food Chemistry): Conducting routine analytical testing in an ISO 17025 laboratory with an accent on GMP/GLP compliance, accurate documentation, and operation of UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS instruments. Focus on learning independent analysis, peer data review, workload scheduling, and maintaining reliable laboratory records during the 3rd shift.

Location: Onsite in Madison, Wisconsin, USA; must reside within a commutable distance of the laboratory. Full-time, 3rd shift: Monday–Thursday, 10:00 p.m.–8:30 a.m.

Compensation: $25/hour+

hirify.global Food Chemistry Madison operates an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory specializing in food chemistry testing for infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals.

What you will do

Learn to conduct routine analyses independently in accordance with methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
Apply GMP and GLP practices across assigned responsibilities.
Learn to operate laboratory equipment and software, including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies.
Document work accurately and maintain study documentation and laboratory records.
Participate in project meetings and learn to perform peer review of data.
Plan daily workload, coordinate assignments with team members, and contribute to a cohesive laboratory team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to learn new techniques, manage multiple assignments, follow instructions, maintain accurate records, and work independently or as part of a team.
Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials, food allergens, PPE, laboratory hoods, and bench-top equipment.
Ability to work overtime and weekends when required and remain standing or seated for extended periods.
