Engineering Process Lead (CI/CD)

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom — onsite 5 days per week. Full-time onsite work is required, along with the right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for applicable UK Government and contractual security requirements, including mandatory DV clearance.

What you will do

• Own and govern the engineering process framework across requirements management, design governance, configuration control, change management, verification, and release.
• Drive the maturity and continuous improvement of established engineering processes, tooling, documentation, templates, and guidance.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline and automated testing tooling supporting agile delivery in disconnected private cloud and tenant information system environments.
• Embed SAFe practices and standardised engineering processes across delivery teams, including training, communication, and adoption support.
• Monitor process adherence through audits and metrics, perform root cause analysis, and define corrective actions and improvement roadmaps.
• Work with engineering, quality, programme, configuration, and change-control stakeholders to ensure traceability from requirements through verification evidence.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering process management, governance, or quality within complex regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes and frameworks.
• Experience working in SAFe agile environments across networks, hosting and infrastructure, platforms, workplace services, and applications.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and supporting tools such as Azure DevOps Server, Jira, Confluence, or Ansible.
• Experience working in high-security, disconnected or air-gapped environments.
• Mandatory DV clearance eligibility and ability to work full-time onsite in Hampshire.

Nice to have

• SAFe SPC, SA, or equivalent agile certification.
• ITIL v4 Foundation or above.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or ISO 27001 quality frameworks.
• Previous Defence or Government programme experience.
