What you will do

  • Manage export license applications for dual-use items, military items, and sanctions-related cases with national authorities.
  • Track license renewals, reporting, approvals, and the central license database.
  • Classify hardware, software, and technology under EU, French, and international control frameworks.
  • Conduct restricted-party screening, end-use checks, and end-user checks for high-risk transactions.
  • Advise Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Digital, Operations, and Logistics teams on international transactions, shipments, and technology transfers.
  • Review contracts and shipping documentation, implement export-control clauses, and deliver employee training.

Requirements

  • At least four years of professional experience in export control or trade compliance, preferably in industrial, defense, aerospace, or high-tech sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the EU Dual-Use Regulation and French export-control regulations and procedures, including SBDU and DGA.
  • Solid understanding of EU, UN, and US sanctions regimes.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal texts and apply them to commercial operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive risk identification, and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Fluent professional French and English, written and verbal, are essential.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the US Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
