EV Field Service Technician (Electric Vehicles)

Location: Dallas, TX; hybrid workplace

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year, plus a 10% performance-based bonus program.

What you will do

• Serve as the on-site advocate for electric vehicles and electric school buses, working toward 90% overall fleet uptime.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform OEM-approved repairs on electric vehicles, buses, charging stations, and related systems.
• Perform road calls, on-the-road repairs, test drives, and customer-site service activities.
• Maintain detailed troubleshooting, repair, time, and materials records in the asset management platform.
• Coordinate with external support vendors and assist junior technicians with repair and maintenance work.
• Complete electric vehicle, charger OEM, and internal technical training.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of electrician, electric vehicle, or medium/heavy-duty truck fleet repair experience.
• Advanced diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance documents, and procedure manuals.
• Medium-duty technician tools and electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Clean driving record and flexibility to work early bus-depot hours and scheduled weekends.
• Within 12 months: a Commercial Driver’s License, at least 3 ASE certifications, and at least 4 OEM certifications.
