Senior Quality Engineer (Data Platform)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, REST APIs, and backend services.
• Validate data integrity, schema correctness, transformation accuracy, financial aggregations, and cross-system reconciliation.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability gaps in large-scale ingestion and synchronization workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with test reporting and alerting.
• Develop synthetic financial data generation and environment-seeding strategies.
• Collaborate on release validation, defect triage, root cause analysis, and mentoring junior quality engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of QA automation experience, including 2+ years testing data pipelines, data warehouses, or data-intensive backend services.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Hands-on SQL experience for validating transformation logic, aggregations, and financial data accuracy.
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or similar cloud data warehouses, plus ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience testing REST APIs and backend services, with proficiency in GitHub Actions and Git.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or SAP.
• Familiarity with financial concepts including general ledger, month-end close, and multi-entity accounting.
• Experience with observability or data monitoring tools.
• Background in SaaS or cloud-native architectures.
