Mechanical Engineer (Precision Mechanics)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components and modules.
• Define, analyze, and manage engineering requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct research, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to support design decisions.
• Create conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, including material selection and technical documentation.
• Support product integration, testing, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Identify technical risks, develop solutions, balance quality and delivery, and coach engineers on best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or complex engineering systems.
• Experience with fluid dynamics, CFD, 3D CAD modeling, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and precision mechanics design.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
• Experience leading technical projects, subsystems, modules, or major component developments.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States Export Administration Regulations before starting work.

Nice to have

• Experience with electromagnetics, mechatronics, brazing, welding, injection molding, or potting.
• Hands-on experience with FIRST Robotics, FSAE, or similar engineering projects.
