Senior Software Engineer - GUI (C++/Qt)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Hybrid work may be available under company policy.

Salary: $187,075–$196,428 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software for the Ottava Robotic System.
• Build robust, safety-critical GUI and frontend components using C++, QML, Qt, and multithreaded application patterns.
• Develop unit tests to support software verification and UI validation.
• Lead the design of major software components, systems, and features, including architecture and GUI concepts based on storyboards and wireframes.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while participating in code reviews.
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, clinicians, product managers, Clinical Engineering, Human Factors, UX Design, System Software, and Visualization teams; mentor team members on design techniques and coding standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus at least one year of experience in the offered role or a related Software Engineer - GUI position.
• Professional programming experience with C and C++.
• Experience with modular GUI development in Qt or equivalent tools, frontend technologies, and frontend frameworks.
• Experience working across the entire software stack and in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and software development tools or IDEs.
• Experience in medical device development and prototyping.
