Senior Software Engineer - User Interface

Location: Full-time onsite role at the Bentonville, Arkansas office; not eligible for remote work. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000 in Bentonville, Arkansas; $117,000–$234,000 in Sunnyvale, California. Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and stock.

What you will do

• Own feature and model delivery across services, APIs, and user interfaces, including implementation, testing, iteration, and support.
• Develop clean, reliable software using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python.
• Drive CI/CD deployments, automated testing, code reviews, debugging, and application maintenance.
• Integrate AI and machine learning components and use generative AI tools to improve software intelligence and development.
• Contribute to solution design and design reviews for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, define success metrics, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software engineering experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, documentation-based coding, modular design, code review, and debugging.
• Ability to integrate AI/ML components and use generative AI tools.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and digital accessibility best practices.
