Senior Software Engineer I - Fullstack (EHR Integrations)

What you will do

• Build scalable, performant full-stack applications that bring point-of-care insights into partner practices’ EHR systems.
• Develop integrations based on healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
• Create browser-based Chromium overlay applications and integrations for Windows desktop EHR systems.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to develop and execute technical roadmaps using Agile processes.
• Review pull requests and mentor and coach junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience in cross-functional teams, including complex frontend and UI/UX-focused applications.
• 4+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Ember.
• 2+ years acting as a trusted technical decision-maker and 2+ years coaching other engineers.
• Experience building scalable and performant solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating with healthcare technology systems such as EHRs or EMRs.
• Expertise in a server-side web technology, with Python preferred, and experience with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience with API design and development, cloud technologies, and containerization or orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of the DOM and browser architecture.
• Experience building Chromium-based apps, pluggable browser overlays, or Windows desktop applications.
