Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Austin, Texas; hybrid with four days in the office

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of software for insurance platforms and products.
• Build and maintain reliable, efficient technology using Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and event-driven architecture.
• Develop features that improve risk understanding and surface insights and recommendations for marketplace engagement.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices and technical standards.
• Measure feature effectiveness, resolve performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Experience delivering production code at scale with modern tools, libraries, and programming languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comfort with regular on-site presence in Austin, including four days in the office.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, and C2C or C2H employment is not offered.

Nice to have

• Experience with data or insurance-related platforms and products.
• Experience with Kotlin, Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Spring, Dataflow, Cloud AI Platform, KubeFlow, BigQuery, BigTable, Postgres, or Salesforce.
