Senior Software Engineer (Web3)

Location: Washington, DC, with a hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Architect and implement secure, reliable, and scalable microservices.
• Integrate Web3 components and privacy-preserving technologies into platform features.
• Define and improve end-to-end software development lifecycle processes.
• Build and optimize CI/CD automation pipelines for integration, testing, and deployment.
• Develop automated unit and integration testing strategies and optimize application performance.
• Provide technical leadership in privacy and security while collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science.
• 5+ years of full-stack or backend development experience.
• Experience developing cloud-based software in microservices environments.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio, zero-trust architecture, observability, RESTful APIs, OAuth2, and encryption.
• Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, SQL and NoSQL databases, in-memory storage, parallel processing, message brokers, distributed task queues, Docker, and Helm.
• Strong documentation and communication skills; prior Agile team leadership is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with IETF RFCs, blockchain systems, or zero-knowledge proofs.
• Experience leading an Agile team of developers.
