Commercial Manager (Data Centers)

Location: Germany; based in Frankfurt with regular travel to data center sites in Europe

What you will do

• Lead finance and commercial management for European data center contracts, facilities, and project works.
• Monitor contractual obligations, funding arrangements, compliance, commercial risks, opportunities, and expenditure.
• Manage billing, working capital, budgets, forecasts, Profit and Loss reporting, and financial and commercial dashboards.
• Develop and manage KPI/SLA models, performance controls, risk registers, and reporting processes.
• Lead procurement, tendering, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, mobilization, renewals, and performance reviews across Europe.
• Resolve commercial claims and provide commercial support to operations, finance, legal, senior leadership, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant professional qualifications; membership of RICS, IWFM, IFMA, CIPS, or a similar industry body is desirable.
• Experience managing large project or service contracts, or multiple smaller contracts.
• Experience negotiating contracts valued above €5 million and resolving disputes and claims with clients and suppliers.
• Experience with complex payment mechanisms, financial and contract reporting, and KPI/SLA models.
• Strong procurement, tendering, vendor appraisal, analytical, reporting, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship skills.
• Data center, facilities management, and client-side experience are highly desirable.
