AI Workflow Engineer

Location: Remote within the USA; a final onsite interview is required at the Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters.

What you will do

• Partner with Process Improvement, Treasury, Internal Audit, security, compliance, and legal teams to identify workflow opportunities and document requirements.
• Design and build AI-enabled workflows using established patterns, templates, and frameworks.
• Integrate AI components with internal systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
• Test, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve workflow performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support stakeholder demonstrations, training sessions, workflow governance, and long-term ownership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, AI/ML tools, workflow solutions, or cross-functional delivery.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML or automation libraries.
• Understanding of APIs, orchestration tools, integration patterns, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Exposure to generative AI, LLM frameworks, or AI-driven automation, plus basic knowledge of containerization and deployment tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience with payers, hospital systems, or health technology companies.
• Experience working with finance teams.
• Master’s degree.
