Windchill Infrastructure & System Administrator (Windchill)

Location: Remote within the United States. Travel may be required to customer, subcontractor, and other office sites. U.S. citizenship and an active or obtainable U.S. national security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure, typically AWS GovCloud, for Windchill, ThingWorx Navigate, and related production and non-production environments.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and secure Windchill and supporting third-party software.
• Perform environment rehosts, non-production data refreshes, and regular front-end and back-end system maintenance.
• Design and maintain reusable Windchill and ThingWorx Navigate environment images for developers.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, cost, load balancing, and backup and recovery.
• Investigate complex application, customization, networking, and infrastructure issues while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Active or obtainable U.S. national security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• PTC Windchill and relevant AWS certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience with Windchill PLM and ThingWorx Navigate installations, patching, upgrades, and rehosts, including at least 3 years setting up AWS services for Windchill.
• Experience with Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, AppStream, virtualized environments, security STIGs, networking diagnostics, and Oracle database installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Windchill system and business administration, security configuration, scripting, performance optimization, and collaboration with PTC and AWS support organizations.

Nice to have

• Database management and SQL scripting experience with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Agile certifications or experience with Fortify and other SAST tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment tooling.
• Understanding of aerospace and defense industry practices and DoD software development requirements.
