Manager Materials Management

Location: Bayhealth Hospital, onsite 5 days per week; travel 1–20% within the US.

Salary: $72,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage distribution, receiving, inventory, warehouse, and materials management teams, including staffing schedules, coverage, evaluations, and daily priorities.
• Oversee receiving, storeroom, distribution, inventory management, par-level maintenance, and supply replenishment across client sites and operating rooms.
• Develop and implement inventory control practices, supply chain procedures, and operational improvements to reduce waste, costs, and stock-outs.
• Coordinate product changes, backorder adjustments, campus-specific requirements, and communication between clinical and operational teams.
• Develop KPIs, analyses, and reports to track inventory needs, productivity, and materials-handling performance.
• Educate and support client, clinical, physician, and other staff on supply usage, storage, procurement, and materials management information systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable work experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of supply chain inventory-level principles and practices.
• Experience managing front-line resources and optimizing inventory functions for operational efficiency and cost savings.
• Ability to create team KPIs, communicate effectively with clinical and physician leadership, and make independent decisions.
• Ability to work onsite at Bayhealth Hospital 5 days per week and travel 1–20% within the US.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, supply chain management, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication, analytics, and resource management skills.
