Lead Engineer, Platform Engineering & Reliability (AI)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in-office

What you will do

• Define cloud and platform engineering strategy, reference architectures, reusable Terraform modules, automation frameworks, and infrastructure standards.
• Lead site reliability engineering practices covering SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability, incident response, resilience, and operational excellence.
• Advance an AI-enabled development lifecycle across planning, coding, testing, release, deployment, operations, and monitoring.
• Lead complex technical programs across multiple teams, products, and business units, translating objectives into architectures and execution plans.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders while influencing engineering decisions across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant hands-on experience in cloud, platform, infrastructure, software, or reliability engineering.
• Expert Terraform experience, including reusable modules, state architecture, CI/CD integration, policy as code, and enterprise governance.
• Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, or both, including Kubernetes, containers, cloud networking, and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong site reliability engineering experience with observability, resilience design, incident management, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience building enterprise cloud platforms, internal developer platforms, or developer self-service capabilities.
• Experience with AI coding assistants, engineering agents, and production governance frameworks.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, architecture, or security.
