Junior Backend Engineer (Data Processing & Analytics)

Location: Airbus site in Immenstaad am Bodensee, Germany. The role includes mobile working and flexible working arrangements where possible.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain DevOps infrastructure using Ansible, GitLab CI, Helm, and related tools.
• Provision, configure, and maintain MongoDB and InfluxDB databases.
• Manage containerized deployments on Kubernetes using RKE and Helm charts.
• Set up monitoring dashboards and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Use Git and Bash scripting for version control, automation, and routine system tasks.
• Participate in code reviews, document setup procedures, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues with senior platform engineers.

Requirements

• Academic degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Foundational programming skills in one or two of Go, Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI, Helm, OCI, and ArgoCD.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix, Git workflows, command-line tools, and basic shell scripting.
• Professional fluency in English and German is required.
• Structured problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in an agile, multicultural environment.

Nice to have

• CKA or CKAD certification.
