Senior Software Engineer (Stream Processing)

What you will do

• Build stateful streaming pipelines that calculate billed consumption in near real time.
• Develop and operate Go services for ingesting usage events, moving data between storage systems, and delivering usage APIs and billing exports.
• Ensure correctness during failures through idempotency, exactly-once processing, and reconciliation.
• Operate transactional storage, persistent queues, and change data capture at high throughput.
• Build reusable streaming infrastructure and improve billing-platform reliability, scalability, latency, and observability.
• Own systems end to end, from design and implementation through reliability and deployment.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Professional experience building and operating backend, streaming, or data-intensive systems.
• Ability to reason about consistency and data correctness under failures.
• Experience with databases, messaging systems, or event-processing platforms.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and solve problems without predefined solutions.
• Ability and willingness to learn the technology stack, including Go, Python, Apache Flink, YDB, YTsaurus, messaging systems, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Flink or Kafka Streams.
• Experience designing streaming pipelines.
• Go development experience.
• Experience operating services in Kubernetes.
