Therapeutic Strategy Director (Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic)

Location: Home-based in the United States; the posting also lists Durham, North Carolina.

Annual base pay range: $122,800–$342,200, with potential incentives, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop client-centric therapeutic and operational strategies for new clinical research opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams through proposal development, client presentations, bid defenses, and project award.
• Use medical, scientific, operational, and data science expertise to design feasible delivery solutions.
• Assess protocol feasibility, risks, competitive landscapes, country and site distributions, recruitment, monitoring, and vendor strategies.
• Translate awarded strategies to delivery teams and provide guidance when in-flight studies require strategic changes.
• Own high-level client relationships in collaboration with sales and account teams, supporting business growth and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases is required.
• At least 10 years of global clinical research experience, including Phase I–IV operational delivery and/or drug development.
• Extensive experience with clinical operations and clinical project management.
• Broad protocol knowledge and practical understanding of the biopharma industry, drug development lifecycle, and clinical trial delivery.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to lead virtual teams with minimal supervision in a matrix organization.
