Associate, AI & Robotics

Location: Paris, France; office-based with occasional remote days and travel for events

Salary: €60,000–€70,000 gross annual base salary, plus a 10% target bonus and stock options

What you will do

• Research opportunity areas in physical AI, robotics, and autonomy through deep technical and market analysis.
• Identify and recruit prospective Founders in Residence with strong domain expertise and founder potential.
• Develop venture ideas with founders, systematically de-risk them, and turn them into new companies.
• Build teams, funding strategies, and roadmaps toward seed stage.
• Conduct diligence to support progress-or-stop decisions.
• Contribute to content, events, founder resources, portfolio support, and ecosystem relations.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in AI/ML applied to physical systems, robotics, and autonomy.
• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Applied experience shipping systems in real-world environments, including safety, uptime, latency, human-in-the-loop workflows, and system integrations.
• Commercial orientation covering products, customers, economics, deployment, manufacturing, or supply chains.
• Ability to reason from first principles, communicate complex ideas clearly, and defend convictions through written memos and presentations.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• French or German language skills.
• Experience with early-stage startups, deep-tech commercialisation, applied R&D, or industrial technology development.
• Strong founder assessment and persuasion skills, an exceptional technical or domain strength, or outstanding writing and networking abilities.
