Senior Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Marketplace and Consumer Experiences)

Location: Remote US

Salary: $265,000–$325,000 per year in CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $236,000–$296,000 per year in other U.S. states.

What you will do

• Define the technical direction, long-term roadmap, and strategic initiatives for Marketplace, Search, Ads Platform, and app experiences.
• Lead technical excellence across full-stack teams and coordinate with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and extend core platform components that enable new products and features.
• Architect platform, tooling, and technology decisions that improve consistency, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Deliver critical customer experiences across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and strengthen ownership and accountability across teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working across the stack and driving backend architectural improvements.
• Experience leading critical projects across multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries.
• Extensive experience developing and implementing technical strategy that improved reliability and responsiveness.
• Project management or people management experience, including influencing, communication, and coaching.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, an ownership mindset, and a customer-first approach.
• Equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native, JavaScript, or Kotlin.
