Assistant Production Manager (Packaging)

Location: Riverside, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually, dependent on experience; annual performance bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate assigned operating departments, rotating through plant departments for three-month periods.
• Plan short- and long-term activities and develop department production schedules.
• Lead employees, support productivity, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and corrective action.
• Maintain efficiency, quality, inventory control, safety, and continuous improvement standards.
• Identify and resolve operational problems and improvement opportunities.
• Build knowledge of product costing, budgeting, maintenance, hiring, human resources, and production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of the Production Management Trainee – Step 1 program and management recommendation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.
• Ability to operate in compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.
