Senior Network Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with regular in-office collaboration, typically four days per week

Base salary: €47,000–€65,666.66 annually; 12.5% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deliver network solutions for global projects.
• Drive network automation and modernisation to improve efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
• Maintain the security, stability, and operational integrity of global voice and data networks.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex network incidents and participate in incident response and on-call rotations.
• Contribute to network architecture and strategy decisions in an enterprise environment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge resources.

Requirements

• At least five years of hands-on Cisco IOS and NX-OS administration in medium- to large-scale enterprise environments.
• At least five years of experience administering Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto firewall platforms.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols, QoS, VoIP, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Experience with Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Secure Firewall Management Centre, Cisco VPN solutions, WAN design and optimisation, and relevant security standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, prioritise operational work, and communicate clearly through documentation and stakeholder engagement.
• CCNP and/or ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Network automation experience and familiarity with F5 local and global traffic management solutions.
• Experience with VMware virtualised environments, enterprise storage, and Microsoft technologies including Windows networking, Active Directory, and Exchange.
