Test Automation Engineer (Government)

Location: Carlsbad, California; must work from the Carlsbad office 3 days per week

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Develop the automation framework for all components of a global SATCOM network.
• Automate software development lifecycle activities, including requirements test coverage and continuous integration.
• Collaborate with engineering and automation teams on system-level test automation.
• Analyze complex system architectures and automate repetitive tasks.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across software, systems, and networking environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with programming or scripting languages.
• Experience with Perforce, Git, Artifactory, CVS, and Linux tools.
• Proficiency in several languages, including C/C++, Java, Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Strong networking knowledge, including IP, TCP, UDP, Multicast, MPLS, and REST.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• SATCOM or wireless/RF communication systems experience.
• RF test equipment, space architectures, or container orchestration experience.
• Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Robot, Selenium, Webdriver, Gradle, Ant, Maven, or Cucumber.
• Virtualization tools such as Vagrant or VMware.
• Agentic AI and Agile/Scrum experience.
