SVP, Enterprise Risk & Quality Management (Alternative Investments)

Location: Newport Beach, CA, USA

Salary: $250,000–$305,000 per year base salary, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework across alternative investment strategies and support functions.
• Develop operational risk policies, standards, procedures, taxonomies, reports, and management information.
• Facilitate and challenge risk and control self-assessments across investment, operations, technology, finance, legal, compliance, and third-party provider functions.
• Evaluate controls, identify gaps and emerging risks, track remediation plans, and verify corrective actions.
• Investigate operational risk incidents and near misses, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop KRIs, KCIs, risk dashboards, and executive-level reporting for senior stakeholders and governance committees.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required.
• At least seven years of experience in alternative investment management.
• Operational knowledge of private equity, private debt, structured finance, and real estate.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deliverables, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Advanced IT and analytics skills, including using AI to drive efficiency.

Nice to have

• Additional degrees or certifications such as an MBA, CFA, FRM, or CAIA.
• Experience in a similar risk management role.
