Equipment Operator III (Citrus Processing)

What you will do

• Operate three desludgers, two polishers, one pre-polisher, and two finishers in the oil recovery system.
• Monitor recovery efficiency and adjust equipment parameters according to SOPs and expected results.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance, sanitation, and equipment checks.
• Verify compliance with company procedures, quality assurance guidelines, safety policies, and food safety requirements.
• Train and cross-train personnel on work instructions, SOPs, and CSOPs.
• Complete operational and sanitation documentation and handle specialized cleaning agents and hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Experience in a food production facility and familiarity with GMP practices.
• HACCP training and certification.
• Familiarity with PLC-driven equipment and the ability to interpret flow diagrams.
• Ability to read company policies and MSDS, communicate with QA, production, and management, and perform basic math.
• Ability to analyze process data and quality control test results to determine necessary adjustments.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, and frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds; long hours, night, and weekend work may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with citrus processing.
• Forklift certification, where required.
