Mechanical Engineer (Jr-Mid)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is necessary.

What you will do

• Design mechanical packaging solutions for custom circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
• Develop and integrate mechanical components surrounding electronic systems and configuration items.
• Design and route custom cabling and cable assemblies between configuration items.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed mechanical drawings using Creo or other CAD platforms.
• Support first-design hardware, prototype development, testing, fabrication, and design modifications.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to resolve fit, form, packaging, and integration challenges.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 months of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with CAD modeling tools for mechanical models and drawings.
• Experience with Creo.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansys.
