TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Privacy/GDPR): Advising on privacy and data protection across EMEA while supporting data mapping, DPIAs, international transfers, agreements, and privacy operations with an accent on GDPR compliance and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on managing DSARs, assessing data incidents and privacy risks, embedding privacy by design, and supporting EU regulatory engagement.
Location: Poland; hybrid work with four days per week in the Wroclaw office for candidates living in Wroclaw and surrounding areas, or fully remote for candidates based in other locations.

What you will do
- Advise on GDPR and broader EMEA data protection laws.
- Support data mapping, retention, DPIAs/PIAs, privacy risk assessments, and international data transfers, including SCCs.
- Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs and privacy clauses in customer and vendor agreements.
- Embed privacy by design into products and business processes with product, engineering, security, and commercial teams.
- Coordinate DSARs, advise on e-privacy and marketing compliance, and support data incident assessment and remediation.
- Monitor legal developments, deliver stakeholder training, and support M&A integration and engagement with EU data protection authorities.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in privacy or data protection law.
- Strong expertise in GDPR and EMEA privacy frameworks.
- Experience advising within a multi-jurisdictional or global organization.
- Hands-on experience with DPIAs/PIAs, DSARs, data retention, international data transfers, and data security incidents.
- Pragmatic, business-oriented advice and the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
Nice to have
- IAPP certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or AIGP.
- Interest in AI governance and emerging EU AI regulation.
- Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy tools.
