Employee Relations Senior Manager (Biotechnology)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $121,100–$181,700 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead complex employee relations matters involving harassment, discrimination, conduct, retaliation, performance, behavioral, wellness, substance abuse, and conflict-of-interest concerns.
• Conduct objective workplace investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing employees and witnesses, determining findings, and developing recommendations.
• Prepare investigation documentation, reports, and executive summaries covering facts, findings, risks, and recommended actions.
• Advise managers and senior leaders on employment policies, conduct, performance management, corrective action, employee engagement, and workplace risk mitigation.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Internal Audit, Ethics, and business leaders on sensitive matters.
• Analyze employee relations data, develop dashboards and reporting, identify systemic risks, and improve scalable case-management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development, Employment Law, or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of progressive HR or Employee Relations experience, including at least 3–5 years focused on Employee Relations.
• Significant independent experience conducting complex workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, employment law, workplace compliance, and HR policies and procedures.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, navigate sensitive situations, exercise discretion, and manage confidential information.
• Excellent interviewing, investigation, analytical, judgment, and report-writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting global organizations and cross-border employee relations matters.
• Experience implementing or optimizing ServiceNow or similar employee relations case-management systems.
• SPHR, SHRM-SCP, AWI-CH, or equivalent certification.
