Software Engineer IV

Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Birmingham, Alabama

What you will do

• Oversee the development, installation, modification, and maintenance of software applications.
• Install and configure systems and software, then test them to identify and resolve malfunctions.
• Design and deploy new applications while enhancing existing software and operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, measure operational efficiency, and implement improvement strategies.
• Analyze and resolve business systems issues and provide process and technology recommendations to management.
• Own assigned processes and support the training of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Seven years of experience in a related role.
• Experience collaborating with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals.
• Knowledge of system analysis, software testing, debugging, code optimization, and performance analysis.
• Understanding of software structures, hardware computing systems, and their integration.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, execution, and multitasking skills.
