Managing Director, Investment Banking

Location: Ridgewood, New Jersey, United States; onsite at the Northland Securities office. The role includes 50%+ travel based on customer needs.

Salary: $200,000+ base salary annually, with final compensation based on experience, market alignment, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead sell-side and buy-side engagement strategies and financing transactions.
• Partner with institutional sales, trading, and internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver complex client solutions.
• Lead transaction documentation, marketing, negotiation, and execution for public offerings, private placements, PIPEs, and debt transactions.
• Identify prospective clients, develop pitches, and support business development and industry-event marketing.
• Maintain client and investor relationships while ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory requirements.
• Develop junior team members through project work, coaching, and mentoring.

Requirements

• At least five years of investment banking or capital markets experience, including at least one year at Director level or equivalent.
• Experience in Consumer, Industrials, Media, Communications, Energy, Financials, Real Estate, Materials, or Utilities investment banking.
• Significant experience executing sell-side, buy-side, debt, public offering, private placement, or PIPE transactions.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA is highly desirable.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses, or equivalent registrations, are required.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required; future sponsorship is not available.
