Avionics Internship (Spring or Summer 2027)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

hirify.global manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertically integrated hardware, and manufacturing-focused spacecraft platforms.

What you will do

• Contribute to spacecraft avionics design, testing, and validation.
• Design and simulate electronic circuits for satellite buses.
• Lay out printed circuit boards and bring prototype boards up for spacecraft programs including Leo Aries, Geo Aries, Nova, and Comet.
• Learn about radiation environments and spacecraft subsystems.
• Complete an assigned project with guidance from a dedicated mentor and collaborate with the broader engineering team.

Requirements

• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficiency with PCB design, circuit design, and simulation tools.
• At least 3 months of applied technical experience outside the classroom through laboratory work, research, personal projects, internships, or project teams such as rocketry, FSAE, or CubeSat.
• Ability to work effectively in an integrated, collaborative, and dynamic professional environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred. Spring interns should be able to pause or adjust academic commitments for the program.
