Junior Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 USD annualized

What you will do

• Write, test, debug, and maintain low-level software components and embedded systems.
• Support reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and system behavior analysis.
• Deconstruct technical systems under mentorship to understand functionality and security implications.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Document code, technical findings, and software workflows.
• Learn and adapt to new programming languages, technologies, and embedded platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent foundational experience.
• Foundational coding experience in C, C++, or Python through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and software engineering principles.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line environments.
• Basic understanding of software security fundamentals and common vulnerability concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn complex systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, or debuggers.
• Familiarity with embedded systems, RTOS, or hardware interfaces.
• Introductory knowledge of cryptography or AI-enabled technologies.
