Senior Fire Engineer (Fire Protection)

Location: Remote or onsite at locations across the United States, including Philadelphia, Houston, Phoenix, Lenexa, Denver, Kansas City, Plano, Bentonville, Los Angeles, Chantilly, Nashville, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and New York City. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $126,000–$219,600 per year, depending on location.

What you will do

• Lead fire protection and building-system design efforts from concept through project completion.
• Direct the preparation and review of design documents, layouts, drawings, schematics, specifications, reports, and engineering analyses.
• Perform engineering calculations, research systems and equipment, evaluate products, and develop solutions to complex design challenges.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Visit job sites, verify existing conditions, observe construction progress, and resolve project conflicts.
• Mentor designers and engineers, oversee quality and project coordination, and support technical leadership, business development, and risk management.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; eligibility will be verified at employment commencement.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; a relevant engineering bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Additional relevant technical certifications or accreditations are required.
• Expert knowledge of engineering design, A&E practices, applicable codes, design guides, and standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam Revu, contracts, earned value, and construction processes.

Nice to have

• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Sustainability credentials such as CDP, LEED, or WELL.
