Operations Associate (AI)

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid); U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $60,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Build repeatable operational processes and systems that support company growth.
• Manage hardware and equipment purchasing, setup, shipping, distribution, repairs, and inventory tracking.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and security commitments across SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 programs.
• Track accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and customer payment schedules.
• Monitor vendor spend, identify notable increases, and flag contracts approaching renewal.
• Support additional operational projects led by organizational leadership.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of experience in operations, IT administration, executive or business support, or a similar generalist role.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and reliable follow-through across multiple concurrent workflows.
• Basic experience with IT and hardware logistics and SaaS access management.
• Exposure to finance or accounting operations, or the ability to learn these areas quickly.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access systems supporting a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contract.
• Ability to work in the San Diego hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with expense or card platforms such as SVB, Ramp, or Brex, or with asset-tracking tools.
• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HIPAA, GDPR, or HITRUST.
• Experience supporting IT security initiatives such as security key rollouts.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup environment.
