Patient Care Coordinator Part Time (Tele-Optometry)

What you will do

• Support efficient tele-optometry exams using optical and telemedicine equipment.
• Greet patients, identify vision needs, promote eye-exam availability, and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient histories and perform retinal imaging, auto refraction, keratometry, tonometry, lensometry, and other ancillary eye-health tests.
• Facilitate live video communication between patients, technicians, and optometrists, and communicate recommendations to opticians.
• Help patients select eyewear, support eyewear sales, and recommend products based on visual needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, optical-area cleanliness, club standards, and a safe, positive patient environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in wholesale retail, optical, or medical environments.
• Customer-service experience in a retail, restaurant, optical, or medical setting.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in telemedicine growth and healthcare technology, with a passion for patient care.
• Must be at least 18 years old and maintain regular, predictable full attendance.
• Ability to move frequently, handle optical-area duties, and lift objects up to 20 pounds; heavier items may require assistance.
