Optician Full Time

Location: Pasadena, MD #0059, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.00–$22.50 per hour, excluding additional spiff program compensation.

What you will do

• Dispense spectacles and optical products for adults and children using prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Verify prescription and order data, read prescriptions with a lensometer, take measurements, and select suitable frames.
• Process optical orders through receipt, member notification, and dispensing while handling payments accurately.
• Advise members on lenses, frames, and products that support their visual needs, both in person and by phone.
• Provide eyeglass adjustments and repairs while following HIPAA and company privacy requirements.
• Support Optical Manager with opening and closing procedures and maintain club standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of optical products and business practices is preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, or experience in wholesale, retail, or optical environments is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Open shift availability and regular, predictable full attendance are required for this full-time position.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to move around frequently, use optical hand tools, and lift objects up to 20 pounds; heavier objects may require assistance.
