Senior UX Researcher

Location: London, UK (Hybrid). Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for security clearance.

What you will do

• Plan and conduct user research using usability testing, depth interviews, diary studies, surveys, and other methods.
• Analyse findings and turn them into clear, practical insights and recommendations.
• Define user needs and use research to shape project direction and wider organisational goals.
• Facilitate workshops, research playbacks, and insight-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with UX and service designers, developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Own research workstreams on smaller projects and contribute to larger strategic programmes.

Requirements

• Experience in user research for digital product or service development across the full research lifecycle.
• Experience planning, recruiting, conducting, analysing, and presenting research studies.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to different audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Strong storytelling and recommendation-development skills.
• Experience in agile or iterative delivery environments and understanding of user, business, and technical needs.
• Confidence facilitating workshops and producing clear research outputs.

Nice to have

• Experience working in GDS or public-sector environments.
• Familiarity with Dovetail, Miro, Lookback, or Optimal Workshop.
• Willingness to contribute to wider UX and design activities.
