On-the-job Trainee (Finance)

What you will do

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices and perform three-way matching against purchase orders and receiving reports.
• Support bi-monthly payment run preparation and reconcile vendor payment statuses.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for quarterly and annual tax filings and verify vendor tax forms.
• Assist with financial statement analysis, basic financial models, and actual-versus-budget variance analysis.
• Clean and structure financial datasets for monthly close and KPI reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable and tax documentation with automation tools.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, accruals, general ledger structure, and basic tax concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic financial functions.
• High attention to detail, strong numerical reasoning, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data.
• Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to acting with integrity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems such as SAP.
