Senior ABAP Developer (SAP)

Location: Airbus sites in Immenstaad am Bodensee or Ottobrunn, Germany. The role is based on-site, with flexible and mobile-working options where possible.

What you will do

• Develop, test, maintain, and document SAP ABAP code.
• Work with Key Users and Service Owners to deliver end-to-end ERP solutions.
• Apply Airbus development standards and SAP Best Practices.
• Perform root-cause analysis and improve software quality, performance, and security.
• Contribute to S/4HANA strategies and follow Change Management processes.
• Coach and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Degree in IT or an equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of practical ABAP programming experience, preferably with S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of OO-ABAP, Adobe Forms, DDIC, BAPIs, IDOCs, OData, Web Services, and the Enhancement Framework.
• Experience with core SAP modules such as FI-CO, SD, MM, PP, or EWM.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and willingness to coach colleagues.
• Strong German communication skills at C2 level and strong English communication skills are required.
