Ultrasound Technologist, Perinatal Center (Ultrasound)

Fort Sanders Perinatal Center, part of Covenant Health, provides specialized care and advanced services for women with high-risk pregnancies.

What you will do

• Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations under physician orders.
• Conduct patient assessments, obtain clinical histories and consents, and document technical findings and examination limitations.
• Operate ultrasound and image-recording equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review images, synthesize results, and prepare preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound and minimally invasive procedures while following aseptic, safety, and time-out protocols.
• Provide patient instructions, positioning, monitoring, education, and support throughout examinations.

Requirements

• Clinical training appropriate to the assigned ultrasound modality.
• Registration in at least one ultrasound modality.
• Current ARDMS, ARRT (S), ARRT (BS), ARRT (VS), or CCI licensure is required.
• State licensure must comply with Tennessee guidelines.
• Ability to follow ACR, Joint Commission, HIPAA, infection prevention, and facility safety standards.
