Software Engineer III (React/ServiceNow)

Location: Virtual role based in Sofia, Bulgaria

What you will do

• Deliver scalable, maintainable software aligned with technical standards and business requirements.
• Own features end to end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Develop frontend solutions with JavaScript and React, including reusable components, custom hooks, state management, and performance improvements.
• Build and maintain ServiceNow server-side and client-side components, platform configurations, Nuvolo solutions, and REST/SOAP integrations.
• Design secure APIs and scalable data models, optimize high-volume solutions, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Lead code reviews and architecture discussions, document technical decisions, coordinate dependencies, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• English fluency at C1 or C2 level.
• Strong JavaScript expertise, including closures, asynchronous programming, promises, the event loop, ES6+ features, and error handling.
• Strong React proficiency, including lifecycle concepts, built-in and custom hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
• Solid ServiceNow experience with server-side and client-side development, Script Includes, Business Rules, Scheduled Jobs, Events, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Service Portal widgets, and UI Builder components.
• Experience with Nuvolo, REST and SOAP integrations, scalable data modeling, ACLs, API security, application security, caching, batching, and bottleneck analysis.
