Station Engineer/Engineering Technologist Associate - Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE) (Transmission Engineering)

Location: On site in New Albany, Ohio or Salem, Virginia, United States

Salary: $84,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Support Transmission Field Services with final commissioning and verification of planned and unplanned transmission-grid work.
• Review upcoming system outages for configuration changes and compliance with applicable NERC and industry standards.
• Review engineering drawings and project information to align system records with as-built conditions.
• Perform root cause analysis of system-of-record discrepancies and identify process improvements.
• Coordinate engineering activities, project planning, budgets, schedules, meetings, and training sessions.
• Prepare clear technical reports and provide guidance to engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Entry-level candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• A non-ABET Bachelor’s degree requires a Master’s degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s program.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology can satisfy the requirement with a certified Professional Engineering license.
• Puerto Rico PE licenses must align with NCEES standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering codes, regulations, standards, drawings, and technical data.
• Ability to work on site in New Albany, Ohio or Salem, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future PE licensing.
• Experience with CPM, PERT, flow charts, project budgeting, and scheduling techniques.
