Senior Director, Head of Strategy, Issuing Solutions (Fintech)

Location: US - San Francisco, CA; at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Estimated salary: $179,300–$369,000 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the long-term strategy for the Issuing Solutions business.
• Lead strategic projects, including assessments of major opportunities, threats, and potential acquisitions.
• Structure complex business problems, analyze data, and develop recommendations with internal stakeholders.
• Design and manage strategy planning, OKR formulation, performance reviews, resource allocation checkpoints, and reporting.
• Prepare materials for board meetings, executive forums, and external client councils.
• Coach teammates and indirectly manage contributors working on major cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, 10 years with an advanced degree, or 5 years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 15 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 12 years with an advanced degree, or 9 years with a PhD.
• Extensive experience in payments and financial services.
• Executive-level business acumen and the ability to connect business strategy, financial objectives, customer priorities, and market trends.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, visual storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work from the United States and attend the office at least 3 days per week.
