General Machinist - Afternoon Shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Alliston, Ontario, Canada; onsite afternoon shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Salary: CAD 80,000–90,000 yearly

What you will do

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines to produce precise components.
• Machine fixtures and tooling according to engineering drawings, production documentation, and technical specifications.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, saws, surface and cylindrical grinders, drilling machines, and EDM equipment.
• Deliver high-efficiency, cost-effective production with consistent quality and on-time completion.
• Participate in continuous improvement of machining processes, methods, and tooling.

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or relevant trade school program.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings, with solid GD&T knowledge.
• Working knowledge of G-Code programming and Renishaw probing routines.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, standard work, and 5S principles.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and written and verbal communication skills.
• General Machinist certification or equivalent and at least 5 years of CNC experience.

Nice to have

• Red Seal certification.
• Experience with Heidenhain and Haas controls.
• Mastercam multi-axis programming experience.
